Art conquers the street also through Fashion thanks to the several collaborations between artists and designers. One of the latest is that of JW Anderson’s creative director – Jonathan Anderson – and the British artists’ duo Gilbert & George (Gilbert Proesch e George Passmore) that has been shouting their motto “Art for All” from East End since ’68.

Taking three 80s duo’s masterpieces – Guard plants (1980), Dog boy (1980) and Heavy (1988) – the designer, linked to the artists since his first arrival in London, created 25 pieces for 2019 Spring Summer Season: oversized leather jackets, same-like skydiving backpacks, latex T-shirt and satin shirt became new canvas for streets.

The capsule – first launched at online fashion retailer “MatchesFashion.com” – is now available also in Milan at the pop-up store opened in the streetwear temple “Slam Jam” during Design Week.

“Slam Jam represents one of the Milan menswear excellences, a retail style destination not to miss” – Anderson said

For three weeks street-wear (and street-art) lovers could buy these ready-to-wear items in addiction to the capsule collection’s accessories. So hurry up and go shopping before the pop-up store fly away to Hong Kong at I.T and to Template in Lisbon!
