Alexander McQueen film opens the Fashion Film Festival in Milan
The 5th edition presents the movie premiere about the enfant terrible of fashion history. The documentary tells about the intense and tormented life of this genius, that from the working-class area of East London was able to reach an immortal success, sitting on a gold (skull) throne of fashion realm. The majesty and extreme elegance of his clothes, imbued with the knowledge of theater costume design, were constantly changing, bringing with them the historical evolution, including the brutality and ruthlessness of the world.

Though always feeling himself through the public eye like a gazelle, whose inevitable end is to be devoured, McQueen has left an extraordinary legacy. He was repeatedly awarded in the fashion industry and even honored by Queen Elizabeth as Commander of the Order of the British Empire.

Fashion Film Festival, founded by Constanza Cavalli Etro, shows over 200 movies coming from more than 50 countries, including Maisons like Prada, Hermès and Valentino.
