“Close your eyes and think of Christmas” is the new film shot and directed by the UK artist and photographer Juno Calypso for the maison’s 2018 festive campaign. Not a simple short-movie, but a truly Christmas tale celebrating this magic period of the year, with a pinch of British humour indeed.

To the strains of “Carol of the bells”, it strings images of an incredible cast coping with celebratory traditions: the actor Matt Smith and the rapper M.I.A. delay to join the family in a diner, a charming Kristin Scott Thomas deals with a late Burberry-signed train, the family finally reunited is captured in a mundane moment during Christmas lunch, and then closing with a lovely scene of a mother with her grow-up child – Valerie Morris-Campbell and Naomi Campbell – chilling together on the sofa.

All obviously spiced with iconic brand pieces, from trench coats and car coats, to archive-printed foulards and the Belt bag, redesigned for this December in pastel colors.

Cashmere sporty scarves with Burberry logo and sneakers, mixing suede with neoprene, are added to emblematic brand’s items restyled by the new designer Riccardo Tisci – whose debut was last September with its Spring Summer 2019 collection – like the D-ring bag with its D lock inspired by the trench, now available also in silver and red, typical Christmas colors. Further, it cannot miss of course tailoring and evening wear as well as the TB monogram.

Finally, the Christmas campaign also features Vivienne Westwood & Burberry collaboration, preview shown in the scene with Naomi Campbell and her mother, and that will launch in the stores and online on 6 December.
