Ottod’Ame flagship store in via Solferino 1 – at the core of Brera Design District – turns into an atelier for Fuorisalone events.
The shop, in fact, hosts the artworks by Maryangel Garcia who has already collaborated with the brand in 2015 launching the Sinchronicle capsule collection.
For the occasion, the Venezuelan artist dressed up the shop with her canvas and small furnishing accessories, by using textiles and several embroderies, as well as stencils, stamps and transferable drawings.
With a playful, ironic and, why not, also provocative approach, Garcia faces hot topics like the Holy and the Prosaic, the Sexuality, the Body, the Gender.
“My purpose is to elevate desire to a higher dimension, nearer to ourselves” she said.
Throughout re-contextualized images of mouths, body parts and words, Garcia tries to narrate, in a very intimate language, the female world and its contradictions.
Finally this is an appointment not to miss, also remembering that it could be an occasion to find our PressitDRY fanzine, handed out in Ottod’Ame store.
