Every four years, the Roman Esposizione of Art Quadriennale pledges to gather the most contemporary revelations of Italian visual arts, making them at disposal of the international panorama. This autumn, four years after the 16th edition “Other times, other myths”, the Art Quadriennale has been able to maintain the momentum of cultural enhancement despite the ongoing global health crisis which has brought, amongst the others, the art and event sector on its knees.

“Fuori” (Out) is the name of this extraordinary 2020 edition, curated by Sarah Cosulich and Stefano Collicelli Cagol, and refers to the invitation of thinking outside the box, taking an eccentric, off-centered position, adopting an oblique look based on a mutual relationship with otherness.

To further enrich the dialogue between Italian and worldwide contemporary art, and between established and emerging talents, 2020 Art Quadriennale carries out the project Q-Rated for the formation of young curators and gallerists, while thanks to the project Q-International supports the circulation of Italian artists’ works abroad.
