The constant dialogue among designers and artisans , which carries with itself a contemporary vision, underlines the today’s basis of collecting. How do you go from the idea to the form? This is the question that is set with Brilliant Ceramics, in which dreamvisions are turned into unique pieces; representations able to describe what cannot be seen. Artisans and manufacturing firms become interpreters of the creatives’ bright and amazing tales, shaping thoughts and ideas inspired by our present.
Luisaviaroma attempts, with this exhibition curated by Valentina Guidi Ottobri, to tell the evolution of the tradition of ceramics, investigating the continuos relationship between mind and matter.
It is through this concept that L’Albero della Vita (The Tree of Life) by Lladrò is brought to life. The leading porcelain brand has chosen the avant-garde Mexican spirit of Milena Muzquiz to interpret more than 60 years of history built on eclectic forms and vibrant colors, and brings to the show also limited edition pieces created by Clare Page and Harry Richardson
The exhibition features also artworks by Coralla Maiuri and Daniele Bortotto, Giorgia Zanellato, Jaime Hayon for Bosa, Karin Karinson for Salvatore Lanteri, Maison Margiela, Matteo Cibic, Marcantonio Raimondi Malerba for Seletti, Maurizio Galante, Nicola Falcone and Ludwig Hartmann, Paolo Polloniato for Editamateria, Vito Nesta and Cristina Celestino for BottegaNove.
